Welcome to our Site!
- Hardy Acres farm is located in town of Danbury at the base of Ragged Mountain. This 5 acre equestrian facility owned and operated by the Martin family. We have been running and training for 5 years in the United States.
- Monika Martin started Hardy Acres Farm in Danbury in 2005. The horse farm consists of Training, selling and lessons. Our horses are grass fed with very good hay that has been tested from year to year. Our animals are never crowded , and spend the summer, fall and winter days grazing lush green pastures and salads, they are fed as they were meant to be and do as if they were in the wild.
- Hardy Acre s Farm has been used as a boarding and training facility, we take in all types of students and we are willing to help with any issues/problem horses.
- We are more of a natural facility were horses get to be horses!

Candy meaning their GRAIN! Now if your horse is barefoot: you must keep a close eye on what they get to
eat and why they should eat it!

Barefoot Horses
- Why should horses be barefoot?
- Horses were never born with shoes!
- Shoes are bad for your horses!
- Horses who wear shoes are most likely to have many problems!
- A horse's foot spreads every time it is being put on the ground with the horse's weight behind it. An iron shoe nailed onto this hoof restricts this movement! The foot cannot spread, the horse cannot feel the ground it is walking on!
