On December 2nd I went to look at a very nice TB Mare which guys believe me she was a looker!!!! This story is very true and what I am trying to do here is to let people with horses know is that buyers or sellers shouldn't be in this business if they don't know how to treat people or even ride their own horse. So here it goes and whoever reads this I would like nothing more then have you guys email me see what everyone thinks.
So one day a friend sends me this add on a TB mare and I did responded to the add. I sent an email to this lady and I did set the date which was December 2nd to go look at the horse, so after I got to the barn the lady was so nice , now me as I buyer I know there is few things I look for which 2 of those things are;
1-- I know I always want to see the owner ride their horse which the lady at first was not to comfy with it but she did get on the mare so now
2--- I always ask the person to walk and trot the horse well now we got in to I can't do it unless someone leads me around on my own horse kind of a thing, so this lady had barn owner to lead her around on her own horse. So guys what could you think of that? Me as a buyer I say the lady has never been on the horse before and shouldn't own a TB off the track but I said to my self ok well let me try sitting on the mare so I get up on the horse fix my stirrups on her as I am on top of her and I said ok I am ready to try her in the walk which the horse was awesome till she got spooked by the other horses in the pasture so she started to shake her head and picked up a trot so I sit back on the mare and calm her down but the owner had said someone grab the rains?? I looked at her and said no I am fine let me be and when I got done trying this mare out and got down off of her the owner had said to me WOW I haven't seen anyone do that before, so now I take the tack off the horse get the blankets on her and the lady said to me I want to go see your place I was like ummmmm ok I guess so she followed me to my own house and before she left she asked me when will I hear from you? , so I said by tonight well me a my husband already knew we weren’t going to buy the mare so I email this lady that night and the email simply said I am sorry but as of right now we feel its unfair to my pony to have the really tiny stall and with x-mass coming right now we will have to pass , so guys and gals I was trying to use ummm you know that saying doctors say you have to have good bed side manners well that’s what I was trying to be and next day I get a nasty email from this lady cursing me out and saying I am pretty well a dead beat tire kicker and so on and on......
I pick up the phone and call her which doesn’t surprise me one bit she never picked up her phone so I left a message saying Hey when you really want to know the truth why I didn't buy the horse call me, but for me sure seems weird that you can't ride your horse that you have had for many months so this lady right away emails me back saying this,,
Since I get crappy phone reception here and can't keep a call....
I got your message, not that I need to justify myself to you...I haven't ridden in 5 yrs before getting my mare have only ridden her a few times.
I am very out of shape and lack confidence due to 2 bad falls on other horses before I got her. I am VERY experienced, and if I really wanted to could give you references who would tell you that. 10 yrs ago this mare
would have been the perfect horse for me, when I had the time every day to ride, train and take weekly lessons. Enough said, please don't bother me again, as I have too many other things on my plate to deal with right now and don't have the time for junk mail.
So this lady has the balls to tell me not to send her junk emails as I only called her she sent me total of 3 emails this morning which I find it crazy so the only way was to put her on my junk block email list because she wouldn't leave me alone. See she said I offended her and I wasted her time but last I did check when you are a buyer when you go look at the horse that’s for sale you might buy it or you might not buy it this is why we look and try the horses out people I been doing this for over 7 years and I do have a clue and I have a pretty good judgment on people and horses I am not saying I am perfect because everyone makes mistakes but this was so strange so people please take in consideration and think and really ask questions if you are buying a horses and beware of people like this one, I just hope this lady doesn’t put other buyers through this because if she does wow she needs to relax a bit don’t you think so?????
